Dance & Physical-Theater

The troupe embrace the freedom to experiment, reflect, and take risks while collectively navigating the challenges and rewards of the creative process. Through movement-driven storytelling, D.10 Project celebrates the cultural richness of underrepresented communities— particularly Hispanic voices— while fostering meaningful connections with audiences in Upper Manhattan, especially in East Harlem.

On stage, their bold aesthetic—marked by dramatic lighting, vivid imagery, immersive staging, and audience engagement—turns each performance into a powerful, memorable experience driven by the visual force of truth.

Dance 10 Project

It is a collective of diverse, multigenerational artists united by a shared vision and creative exchange. The troupe stages dance and physical-theater works where movement drives the storytelling, shaping a “multicultural-dance” language from a dramaturgical perspective—one that blends visual impact, body movement, and emotional depth.

D.10 Project Led by Artistic Director & Choreographer Elliott Ortiz; He transforms choreography into a theater of bodily presence, where physicality carries the narrative.

Our Next project premier : Oct 17 /2025

Cuentos de Miedo y Otras Pendejadas (Scary Stories and Other Stupid Things) is a 65-minute immersive dance-theatrical production that reimagines traditional Latino scare tactics through dark humor, surrealism, and movement. Inspired by the bedtime legends of El Cuco, La Bruja, and El Duende, the piece examines the deep psychological mark these cultural myths leave on childhood—transforming them into grotesque, satirical forces that confront inherited fear and emotional control.

Breaking down the old scare tactics once used by nannies, grandparents, and parents, choreographer Elliott Ortiz embraces risk, challenges beliefs, blurs the lines between art forms, and ignites a bold conversation about Latino culture through fearless performance. The piece blends dance, theater, comedy, and live interaction. Movement becomes the storytelling’s backbone, with sharp rhythms, gestures, and physical-theater comedy shifting seamlessly into moments of tension, satire, and chaos.

Tickets will be available soon for our premiere, stay tuned and secure your seats early for this unforgettable experience
